Who We Are

In 2018, GCE-NODE (the Global Centre of Expertise – Norwegian Offshore Drilling & Engineering), an industry-driven innovation cluster for ocean technologies, approached Edward James Consulting (EJC) to design and develop an experiential learning program. GCE NODE wanted to develop a leadership program that would help their senior business leaders to innovate, develop better strategy, and be more competitive.

In response, EJC partnered with REFOCUS and Transformation by Design (TBD), two values-aligned organizations with a history of collaborating together. The three partners share the common purpose of catalyzing the change in leadership practices necessary to design and build flourishing enterprises. The collaboration resulted in the first pilot of the Enterprise Evolution Program, a program that not only trained the participants but also trained the trainers. GCE NODE’s success piloting the program led to several additional cohorts launching and the development of a new service offering for their innovation cluster. GCE NODE now licenses the program to other Norwegian innovation clusters for delivery within their own sectors.

In 2020, REFOCUS, TBD, and new partner, Desklight Research & Consulting (DRC), are developing and refining the program with the intent of providing it across industries, sectors and geographies. We recently adapted the Enterprise Evolution for the municipal sector where the program has been very well received.
